Tennis
Tennis continues to thrive
at Middleton and we have got three men’s, three ladies,
two mixed adult and five junior teams participating in local
leagues. All quietly competitive of course, well…..
some not so quiet actually. Two Ladies teams gained promotion
in both the summer and winter leagues last season and one
junior team gained first place in their division.
As the lighter evenings rapidly approach we look forward
to seeing those courts busy again in the evenings. Once
again we envisage the following to begin in April:
Tuesday 6pm – 7.30pm – Men’s
practice
Monday 4pm – 6pm – Ladies
practice
Social
Friday 4.30pm 'til dark is
a very social evening both on the courts and in the bar
for adults interested in playing mixed doubles.
Social tennis is played/watched during the day (and evening
when light permits) by various groups of Ladies, Men, Juniors
and of course ‘The Golden Oldies’ all of whom
would welcome new members or prospective members wishing
to play.
